Numen Sensorics A/S, founded in July 2017, is a biotech company that offers services of development of simple, inexpensive and ultrasensitive bioassays on request and electroanalytical kits and devices for such bioassays. Its main focus is microbial detection. Compared to the existing technologies and products, company’s biotechnology can allow fast testing directly onsite and in the field, by un-trained personal. The technology can be also used for detection of genetic material and proteins of interest in a complex matrix.

Our detection technology is based on capture of microbes on magnetic beads modified with specific antibodies/aptamers followed by reaction with secondary antibodies/aptamers conjugated to enzyme. The formed complex applied onto insulating polymer films printed on disposable carbon electrodes digests the films,  that is electrochemically detected at single bacterial cell/1mL-5mL levels. Such measurements are simple, specific and inexpensive. 

Our technology is currently in the product development phase: at a prototype instrument level (the electrochemical cell was made) and the proof-of-concept assay level. Currently we are looking for investors to move the technology to the minimum viable product.
